# Looking for a basic nesting software?

I’m supplying specialty material to a company with a laser. I’d like to be able to nest my parts myself (even if they can’t use it) so I know how much material I’m using.

Can anyone recommend a basic nesting software?

I’ve used Deepnest in the past & it seems to do a good job, though as I recall I had to futz with it a little to get the hang of it in the beginning. It’s open source and is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
