Volunteering for Data Collection

Hey Jason,

Not sure if you’re still accepting entries, but I only just saw the instagram post. I’d love to help you out. I primarily just work on my own things. Latest thing I’ve been working on is a drag and drive trailer for myself using my dragon wagon. a bigger table would have helped, but it got the job done well enough.

I do have an instagram page

as well as a youtube channel where most of my stuff gets posted too.

And apparently I can’t include all the photos in a single post so I’ll see if I can reply to myself with the rest.

Kyle, How do you like your Langmuir CNC Brake? I am in the market for getting a small cnc brake right now and am trying to compare the different ones.

I like it. It obviously doesn’t compare to an Amada or something like that, and the marketing that it ships fully assembled and ready to work is a half truth at best, but it works well, is repeatable and accurate, and is miles ahead of anything else in it’s price class that I’ve seen. I’d definitely get the backgauge and material support arms. The stand is fine, but you could also make your own if you wanted to save a buck. From what I’ve seen, the prices on their tooling are reasonable, but you can also usually find tooling pretty cheap if you shop around at machine auctions since it takes standard American style tooling.

Good to hear! I greatly appreciate the review back on it!

Hey Jason! My team and I at Iron & Design in Memphis, TN would love to help out with the data collection. We are a custom fabrication company that makes anything from gates and fences to table bases and art work. We work with an array of materials such as mild steel, aluminum, brass, cooper, and bronze.

Here’s some of our past work and a quick look at our workshop!
