Thanks for sharing your story, seems you are due for an upgrade! Sent you a message.

Our shop has a Wilton bullet style vise - hairline crack has formed on the underside of movable jaw. In general, have been looking for a much more heavy duty vise, and now its time to upgrade. Have multiple Fireball Tool products (squares, spacers/shims, clamps, etc.) and the 6.5” Hardtail looks like the ideal product for our heavy industrial / agriculture environment.

I tried to use the code you sent via email. It did not work. I emailed back about it with no reply. I went ahead and placed my order for the 6.5” fireball hardtail. No discount included

Hi Derek, apologies the code did not work. I will review and message you shortly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I was setting up a project on my workbench when I went to clamp a thick steel rod on my Vise. As I turned the handle, I felt an unusual resistance, then suddenly the main screw and handle snapped free from the vise body, leaving the rod barely held and the vise itself looking completely wrecked on the bench.

This vice has served for many years. It is not unusable but it no longer functions smoothly and the pipe jaws have broken. Looking forward to upgrading to a vice that can handle the parts of the ag/industrial equipment that I work on.

Shop vice gave out - thru bolt busted after years of beating on the old girl. She served us well over the years, but it’s time for something new.

We got into hydraulic cylinder rebuild. A good vise is crucial to disassembly cylinders. This vise would have terrible backlash, not grip and then just failed. Looking forward to getting the fireball which is the best vise on the market

Hi, check your message inbox, code has been sent.

I wish I had a better story of my old bench vise destruction… I was trying to hold the end of a hydraulic cylinder while I took the nut off the back… and lets just say it did not like my jumping up and down on a 3ft wrench with a 4ft cheater bar on it. I am looking forward to ordering my new Hardtail Vise and putting it to work!

Yes the classic broken jaw shelf. That’s very common on Wilton’s. A code was sent in messages

Working on heavy equipment is always hard on vises. A large pipe and large hammer was this vises last job. Looking forward to a hardtail.
