I inadvertently performed an experimental drop test.
So being the genius that I am, I managed to drop the vise off the forklift the first time I tried to mount it on the stand. Succeeded the second time. Only damage was to the handle, which bent a little. Now I need to make a new handle

How bad is the handle? It has a threaded ball on one end. You should be able to remove it and straighten it.
I will try that. It doesn’t seem to be that bad. The vise doesn’t seem to be damaged…so I guess it really is the strongest vise in the world.
