I’ve been taking an old tooth brush to each magnet over the end of my vacuum. However this doesn’t seem like the best way so I was wondering what everyone else does. What is your quicker / more effective way?
I just rub the block across the table or fixture holes a few times like a cheese grader. Or wipe it on my pants. A blast of air works too.

The metal dust / filings really cling to the magnets for me so just wiping them hasn’t worked well for me, though maybe I’m being too particular about how much I get off them. Blast of air works but then just shoots it everywhere. I guess I have to clean up regardless so maybe I’ll just stick with that.
I like using masking tape or packaging tape

Quick way is put the block in a zip loc bag before using it. Works for small magnets as well.

Your method using a toothbrush and vacuum, is great as long as the toothbrush is stainless steel.
Works quite well for me!
