Hi.
I just got my shipment of fireball fixtures and clamps from fireball europe.
Everything looks great but I immediately noticed something weird about the tooth block.
The tooth spacer seems too thin. When the spacer is on the table and the block on top, the teeth just barely touch. This results in a lot of slop in the block’s position.
When the spacer is on top everything is fine, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be like that.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
Yeah that’s not right. No problem give costumer service a call will replace it.
Yes, same here with my new FM16 tooth blocks.
All 3 toothed washers (FM16-TBW7550-25) I have seem to be consistently too thin, all with around 2mm of vertical play instead of the 0.05mm/0.002" clearance that the CAD of the FA75 system has.
I’ve emailed Fireball EU customer service to see what can be done.
hi @Danson apologies on the issues, I’m gonna go look at what happened with those
There was a shipment of bad tooth block washers from the manufacturer… Customer service took care of the problem immediately and I’m expecting replacement washers early next year
OK, Fireball EU quickly sent 3 replacement washers OK …but only one was the correct thickness .
I have notified them and am waiting for the 2 replacement replacements.
Thankfully these are not for anything urgent, but given the QC nature of the parts replacement, the old stock should perhaps have been checked and scrapped before sending out incorrect warranty replacement parts?
All the best, Dan
they have a set of QC tools, I’ll see what happened
