Welcome to the behind-the-scenes of the Fireball videos. Here, you will find general discussions about our videos, including extras, stories from the crew, and any other questions related to our videos.
Every new video release will get its own thread for people to comment on the video and have related conversations. It will be the perfect place to ask Jason or the crew questions about the video.
Behind-the-scenes extras may be shared here, including bonus footage, on-set anecdotes, and breakdowns of uniquely filmed sequences. At Fireball, we craft the filmmaking process with the same effort as we do everything else.
Other than Fireball videos, threads can also be about anything Fireball media related, from tutorial videos to TikToks. Keep conversations relevant and be nice to one another.
Why did you guys turn off YouTube comments? I enjoy the banter below a good video and don’t understand why you’d want to push fan interaction to Discord. There will always be trolls and hecklers, we can sift through the nonsense.
I think they want people that care about the craft to come to this platform and talk here
I know I’m replying to an old comment, but I am new to the Fireball YT channel and was surprised to see the comments turned off and a link to come here for discussion…
I came here, and I cannot find the discussion for this video. It’s an extra step, and I can’t even find the discussion I was looking for…which is why I watch YT videos. I want to see what others say about the info and see the discussion. They could have gotten another subscriber and another like on the video but I have zero interest if they don’t have a discussion I can read or take part in.
It explains why they have a lot of subscribers but video views have gone down. They removed the ‘social’ aspect. I don’t mind going somewhere else for the discussion but if it is hard to find it - there’s too many barriers to getting to that point.
Large Views have nothing to do with comments. Views come from topics and content. Fireball isn’t interested in overall views. We are interested in information available for those that are interested in our product.
Example: look at the grinding disc individual videos. They weren’t filmed with the intention of getting big views. They are information based videos. They have a narrower interest group.
