Can You Spot What's Wrong In This Video? - VIDEO INSIDE

I came across this video from Siegmund where somebody demonstrates the use of their 28mm table system and fixtures.

Since I’ve tested Siegmund’s 16mm, 28mm, and many other companies tables and fixtures, I couldn’t help but notice how many issues welding the person in the video would have if they actually used the setups that they demonstrated.

Watch the video and count the number of “mistakes” or improper welding/fixturing practices that you notice and tell me below!

The way he was using the piece of square tubing to set distances. The fixture blocks could easily teeter on the edge the way he was holding it, and compromise the dimensions of the part once it had been welded.

Either the bad 70’s porn music in the background, or the realization that only 2 sides are “certainly” square (along the bench corner). The other two are just “kinda” referenced off the other pieces (which he removes that accuracy by “hand fitting”)

I think what this really shows is how, (smart or lucky) jason is with his videos. I mean he has an extremely successful youtube channel that reaches people who have never, and will never pick up a welder in their life.

Yet people sit and watch a 10 to 30 minute video completely entertained. Now he just needs to get the attention of the guys who do not go on youtube. But word of the mouth of a good product will work with time i suppose.
