Grinding Aluminum Tig Welds for Powder Coat/Paint

Getting ready to tig an aluminum driveway gate and don’t want to see tig welds after painting. What is the best pad to use for grinding/polishing tig welds?

I would use higher grit flap disks followed by a red scotch bright wheel. For tight corners the disks for die grinders work well, then for wide open areas harbor freight sells a surface conditioning tools that have scotch bright as an option. https://www.harborfreight.com/9-amp-surface-conditioning-tool-58079.html

I recommend starting with this kit: https://fireballtool.com/products/pferd-48194-combiclick?_pos=3&_sid=c8d0b658e&_ss=r

It gives you a good assortment of discs to start with. Then you can get more of whatever you like the best.
