Ciao!
You maybe wondering whether your new Hardtail Vise can be secured on EU 19 mm system fixture table (having holes spaced 50 mm) using Tacking Bolts, so you can move it around quickly when needed. Well, no.
Swivel base holes are accepting nicely Tacking Bolts, but are spaced few mm too wide to match the table holes pattern. I found myself in this situation, and easily fixed it!
Just removed the swivel base from the vise and clamped to the milling machine, that is easy as swivel surface is machined flat, then used the original holes with Tacking Bolts and a straight bar to align the swivel base to the milling machine table.
Using the same holes as reference, found the swivel center, and from there the game has been easy as moving the table in 50 mm increments to match fixture table pattern and drill.
As you can see casting is nice and compact, with no inclusions, the new holes are just few mm closer to the center, and the swivel base is now universal, accepting original position (and accessories like the Hardtail Vise Mounting Plate) and EU patterns.
And that’s the final result, with the Hardtail Vise now ready to get anywhere on the fixture table!
That’s cool HW!
