I just got mine and I absolutely love it. I would really enjoy a holder that works for the Wera hex plus keys. They have the plastic sleeve so they won’t fit. I don’t think there is enough material to bore out the existing one either. Jason sells the Wera keys. It’d be way nice to use them in the holder.
It’s on our list. The current design is going to have to change to make the keys slide in and out properly. Testing needs to be done to ensure the coating on the outside of the keys doesn’t come off after a short period of time.
I work in a maker space with 800 users, and one problem we have is getting allen keys put back in the right spot. Wera/weha/etc make keys with colored handles, but to be honest I don’t understand how the colors of the wrenches is useful. Am I supposed to memorize the color of each size, metric and standard? (Though the writing on the plastic handles is definitely easier to read on the small wrenches).
What would be useful is if the holes in the cases were colored to match the corresponding wrenches. Then it would be easy to put them back in the right spot. Maybe the metric could be warm colors (shades of red/orange/yellow) and standard could be cool colors (blue/green/purples). Then you could look at a wrench and know if it’s metric/sae, and exactly where in which case to put it in.
Would love it if you made that! Also the circle design is cool, but flat is nice to put in drawers with foam cutouts.
