Machine powers up and has high frequency with both torch control and foot pedal but will not make an arc. I feel like I have the parameters correct. Or at least I have tried it in several positions. But still no voltage only high frequency. Can anyone tell me what I am not doing that could correct my issues on this new machine. Best regards Scott Yates
Make sure your start amps isn’t all the way down.
You can turn off HF and see what happens if you try scratch starting it on DCEN.
Are you on DC or AC?
I started it out on DC straight. But tried all and still couldn’t strike an arc. Nothing but high frequency. I did have my start current at 5 to begin with but raised it up to 30 at one time and still nothing. Set my high at 160 best regards Scott Yates
if your machine has contactors try cleaning the points
