I have picked up a marvel 8 bandsaw from the early 50’s. I am going to start restoring the saw and was wondering where is the best places to source parts if needed? Last question should I mess with the coolant system or run the saw as a dry cut?
We run the saw dry but we are also not a production shop.
How do these saws orient the blade (perpendicular to the faces of the wheels)??
Is it like the horizontal saws? But maybe multiple stages of twisting it?
They put a 90 degree twist in the blade. It’s not much different than the way a port-a- band works.

Set up an air system like on an Ellis for cooling and cleaning.
Here is the DIY version that I followed. Works perfectly: Ellis bandsaw DIY air jet | WeldingWeb - Welding Community for pros and enthusiasts
