I built my stand for the Hardtail:

Filled the base with concrete to eliminate vibrations during use of the vise:

Next step: find the best and most efficient positionin my shop and secure it to the floor.

Mobility is always important to me in a small shop. Here’s what I came up with.

The stand alone weighs a little under 400 pounds and once the casters are locked in it is plenty stable for my application

Jaws are set at 40.75”

Looks sturdy. Whats the tube in the front going to be used for?

Who knows…… probably a catch all for small off cuts, that for some reason I refuse to throw away. Haha
