I’m glad you like the vise. I hope it provides decades of service.
I’ve warned my son he’s probably going to inherit it in 30-40 years, and he better have a strong friend or two to help him move it.

Definitely a centerpiece of any workshop.
Mobility is always important to me in a small shop. Here’s what I came up with.
The stand alone weighs a little under 400 pounds and once the casters are locked in it is plenty stable for my application
Jaws are set at 40.75”
Looks sturdy. Whats the tube in the front going to be used for?
Who knows…… probably a catch all for small off cuts, that for some reason I refuse to throw away. Haha
