Casters for Welding Table

We bought a brand new heavy duty 8.5’x4.5’ fixture/welding table with adjustable legs and leveling feet. After finally receiving this, we realized that we could get more out of the table if it was mobile. I contacted support and was told casters only were not available, and I would have to purchase the complete leg to get the caster ($300 x 6). This seems absolutely ridiculous.

Has anyone found somewhere else to buy casters that will fit in the legs for the Heavy Duty Table?

Find a caster suppler near you and see if they have something similar to this

This is because the adjustable caster leg is around 8" shorter than the adjustable height leg to make room for the oversized casters. So if you got the same wheels and attached them to your current setup it would be almost 40" tall on the shortest setting. Hope that helps let me know if you have any other questions.

The problem is length of the adjustable leg is too long to use a Fireball caster. The caster are approximately 8” tall. You would need to cut your legs down.

Thank you for all the replies! And thank you Fireball Customer Support for doing their absolute best to ensure I was a satisfied customer. I really do appreciate the service provided!

I want to be clear that everything I have ordered from Fireball has been great and the quality is top-notch. Originally, customer support did offer to swap the footed legs with caster legs for a discounted cost. However, I want to keep the leveling feet around, just in case.

I understood from the beginning that the situation was not ideal for either of us. I also completely understand the reason for the leg size difference. But in my situation, a higher table would be fine (if not preferred, by my 6’3" technician). My simple request was for the 6 individual casters, and in my opinion, these should be available separately from the legs. However, my opinion means little when I don’t have to take responsibility for how others use the product, so I leave that discretion to the business. I just came to the forum to seek an alternative.

The support team then provided me with 2 potential solutions. They offered me the individual casters, like originally requested, but with a significant lead time. I assume they would have to be ordered because they aren’t prepared to separate them from the preassembled legs. Completely understandable, and I appreciate the offer!

Alternatively, they offered a discount on a full set of legs with casters. I gladly accepted this offer to keep the lead times to a minimum, so we could get to work using this awesome table!

In conclusion, I am very thankful to be working with a company that truly values its customers! I look forward to doing more business with you in the future!

THANK YOU!

F.E. Bennet in Portand has casters for casters. Their back room is proof positive that they’ve been in the business almost a century. Knowledgable folks, family business. Highly recommended.
