The table is conductive, but we don’t recommend grounding through the table into the work. Bad grounding in between the metal and table can cause arcing to occur. This raises a high spot and destroys the flat table surface

This makes the list for things I didn’t care about when my welding table was just plate steel, but very much care about now that I have a fixture table. I always ground to the workpiece now.
