( Helpful Tips to Install Your Dragon Wagon Bottom Shelf )

To get started with your Dragon Wagon shelf installation, make sure you have all your components.

You should have one shelf, two stiffener ribs, four leg pins, eight rubber caps, eight lock collars, and miscellaneous of nuts, bolts, and washers.

First step is to install the four leg pins. Start by inserting a rubber cap into the end of the pins. Slip a lock collar on the pin and install the pin into the leg hole at your desired elevation.

Slip the second lock collar on the pin on the opposite end. Lock it down with a set screw.

Place the second plug on the pin. Repeat the process on the other three legs.

The next step is installing the shelf support ribs to the shelf pan.

Flip the shelf upside down with the smooth side up.

Place the support ribs on the tray with the legs of the ribs facing up. The smooth side of the shelf and the ribs should be in contact with each other.

Bolt the ribs in the shelf with the provided bolts and nuts.

You can use these alternate sets of holes if you want the shelf to nest in between the legs on one side.

The bolt’s head should be located on the shelf side. Do this on all six bolt holes.

You’re now ready to install your tray into the dragon wagon.

The shelf hooks and rests onto the pins installed earlier.

You’re now ready to use the shelf to store all your gear.

SLAG TRAYS

( Helpful Tips To Install Your Dragon Wagon Slag Trays )

To get started with your Dragon Wagon Slag Tray installation, make sure you have all your components.

Your kit should include three trays, two long brackets, four short brackets, and ten spacers.

First step is to lay out all the brackets on top of the table.

Start with the long brackets. You can see that they have a wide and narrow end.

Position the wide end on the side where you want the tray to slide out.

Place the short brackets with the cutout holes facing out. These are the catch holes that prevent the trays from pulling too far out.

The brackets use the leg fasteners to hold them in place.

Remove these leg bolts with an 8mm hex to proceed with the install. Work on one end of the table at a time.

The short brackets share one of the bolts with the long bracket. The short bracket gets placed underneath.

To help with the install, thread the leg bolt through the brackets and install a spacer.

Get the bolt started back in the hole, but leave it loose. Repeat this process on the other mounting points. The brackets have slots to give clearance for the tray to slide in and out smoothly.

Once all the bolts have been placed back in the table, the brackets can be aligned and tightened up. Torque the bolts to 30 foot pounds.

The large tray installs from the backside of the table.

Large stops prevent the tray from falling out of the brackets.

A lifting motion is required to pull the tray out.

A plug has been provided to help sweep debris from the tray without removing the tray from the table.

All the trays should fit flush with the sides of the table for a clean, seamless look.

SIDE SHELVES

( Helpful Tips To Install Your Dragon Wagon )

To get started with your Dragon Wagon side tray shelf installation, make sure you have all your components.

You should have two heavy-duty tray shelves, four-leg hole bushings, and eight-centering step washers and hardware.

The leg shelves use the large three-quarter leg holes to hold the shelf in place.

This requires the use of a step down washer.

To help hang the shelf on the leg, sandwich a bolt, step washer, shelf, and pin through the back side of the shelf. Hand tighten the assembly, leave it loose and floating. Do the same to the other side.

Insert the shelf at the desired elevation into the leg holes.

The shelf can be inserted with the sidewalls up creating a pan or flipped upside down to make a smooth surface.

For this install, we’re choosing the sidewalls up. The shelves can be mounted inside or outside the legs. Or opposite of each other sharing the same hardware. Use a hex key to tighten the fasteners.

These trays can hold a hundred pounds with the reinforced mounting points.

Now you’re ready to store your gear.

CYLINDER AND VISE MOUNT

( Helpful Tips To Install Your Dragon Wagon Cylinder And Vise Mount )

To get started with your Dragon Wagon gas cylinder and vise mount installation, make sure you have all your components.

Your kit should include one universal bottle or vise mount, one universal bottle or cord support, three bolts with hardware and 3 spacers.

The universal mount can be used to bolt a vise or other piece of tooling to the table legs or sides.

The mount has many holes to position a vise or tooling in different orientations or elevations. For this install, we will be bolting a vise to the leg of the table.

The spacers go in between the mount and the leg. Select the desired location and use the provided bolts or optional tacking bolts to fasten the mount to the leg.

The mount has four bolt holes provided to attach a fireball vise to the top. More holes can be drilled to fit your tooling.

Fasten the vise using two or four and a half by one and a half long bolts.

You are now ready to use the vise or tooling.

The next option for the mount is to use it as a gas cylinder holder.

The mount gets flipped over in this configuration and bolts to the lowest holes on the leg, while still providing clearance for the wheels to pivot. We recommend using the bolts and spacers provided to secure it to the leg.

The V support mount should be positioned at the highest possible leg hole. Bolt it to the leg and tighten the nut.

Place the bottle on the mount and wrap the strap around the bottle and secure the latch. This mount can accept large or small bottles.

The bottle is now free to move with the table.

These tips will be frequently updated. Happy fabricating!

I am installing the bottom foot shelf on my 54” x 30” table. If I use the second set of round holes to set the shelf back between the table legs (to create more foot room) the shelf pins do not appear to be long enough to support the front of the shelf. This option was called out in the assembly video.

Am I missing something? Is this an option with the provided parts? All of the assembly pictures appear to use the back set of elongated hoses.

Yes you are correct, a longer pin or a long 3/4 rod that went through both legs would be needed. Or a short piece of tubing or pipe could be used to slip over each original leg pin.

I just received the slag trays kit for the 2’x3’ dragon wagon tables. Mine looks a little different from the one shown in the pictures / video. My brackets are not wider at one end than the other:

Also my main tray doesn’t have stoppers to keep it from falling out or the hole / plug to empty without pulling it all the way out:

Is that just a difference between the larger and smaller wagon kits, a difference of versions being released at different times, or is there an error?

Thanks!

Hey @wheelz,

Those features are only on the 54x30 dragon wagon, not the 36x24 dragon wagon.

ok, thank you. I posted here as it wasn’t an urgent question and I figured others may have the same question if they get the 36x24 as well.
