New vise stand

A few years ago the guys built a vise stand, the fastest easiest way they could think of out of scrap. It served the purpose but left some things to be desired. I just made a much improved stand. The 3/8" baseplate is big enough to stand on, the 3/8" table is big enough to lay a few things down, and the column is 10x10x1/2. The vise is non-bullet Wilton, imported I think. Good enough for most tasks.
Will have to move it with the forklift but don’t have to do that very often. Fixed jaw face extends beyond the table so long stuff can be put in vertically - so many guys don’t think of that.

I like the idea of the plate the extension that you stand on.

And a little 1/4" plate tacked under each corner to help it be more stable on a rough floor.
