Put me down for dibs on the pre order list so I can start a go fund my vise stash!
Im getting tingly!!
1800 lbs weight? So no need to bolt to the floor! ![]()
all I can say is wow, just make sure we can finance at 0% for 10 years!!!
Jason, have you considered hydraulic instead of the screw mechanism? Hydraulic presses are hydraulic for a reason as screw presses are limited (old type setting presses come to mind). Twin hydraulics, foot pedal control for open and close? Yeah, not the direct mechanicals that I think you prefer, but maybe more functional.
The vise has a option for a bottle jack just like the original prototype. A air cylinder or air bag could be used instead.
I have always advocated for the “bigger is better” discussion. I have found my next vise. 2025 can’t get here soon enough.
I’m a serious buyer, please keep me up-to-date. Is the prototype for sale?
A hydraulic ram with small accumulator for easy fine tuning force over a few pumps rather than one pump and a integral manual position lock. Not sure how much they are but they are available. If the manual override ram is cost prohibitive a mico lock to isolate the accumulator could be used. Also a bi directional handle, one way for very high flow for positioning and the other way for fine control and lift the handle to release pressure and possibly the fourth direction to engage the mico lock.
ever come up with a price on this masterpiece?
No not yet.
I see a new youtube video. ETA, PRICE,PREORDERS?
It will be 2026 sometime. We might take preorders but the price is unknown at the moment. I’ll keep everyone updated.
Please do! I’m curious for even a price Ballpark.
No price point at this time.
Im down im a serious buyer can’t wait for this monster to come out.
Hi jason
I’m new to the forum
But I had a thought
(As stated in ur durability test video of the hardtail 2years ago)
The hardtail was originally 1800$
U said it was $6.93 per a pound
X weight 260lb
=1801.8( hardtail original price )
So will the new floor vise be the same math equation ?
$6.93 per pound
X 1800lb
=$12,474 estimated
Of course I understand the pice of the hardtail has gone up since that video (2years Ago) (inflation)
I’m sure the manufacturing process is not the same either and other factors I’m not aware of that may affect the production price of the finished product
But my question is do u think I’m in the price ball park? 12-15k
I’m a huge fan of ur YouTube channel and a proud owner of ur hardtail vise .
Keep up the awesome work dude !
Thanks sir
We want the vise to be obtainable. It will be under 10k for sure.
