I have a 54x30 Dragon wagon. Finally got around to mounting both the slag tray and the Sidekick. I mounted the slag tray using the recommended 2 spacer stack and the long hex bolts as recommended in the Sidekick install instructions.
I installed the vise on the short end and everything cleared fine for the big tray but the short side tray cannot be used without modification.
It appear that one would need 3 spacers to allow everything to work correctly with all the trays and the vise.
Anybody run across the same or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
Lip across bottom of the vise is the slag tray.
The side tray will not be removable with the sidekick vise installed on the side. Yes longer spacers will be required if you want to remove it and get it to clear the vise plate.
Thanks Jason. I appreciate the confirmation. I’ll have to see about getting replacement hardware for this configuration.
In order to use all the slag trays and the Sidekick vise, I needed to add another spacer. New bolt length is 60mm instead of 50mm. On my table the new bolts were 12-1.75x60; easily sourced from Amazon. This gives plenty of threads for leg engagement and you can add the lock washer.
I was not able to find spacers in correct sizes. Waiting on thick wall aluminum tubing. This is 6061 - 3/4" OD with 1/8" wall. Just need to cut to 27mm long. Images will be forthcoming.
