The Origins of 3/4 Inch Holes

Hey guys!

In case you don’t know me, my name is Noah, and I’m part of the video team here at Fireball Tool.

Right now, Im doing some research on the origins of the 3/4 inch hole. The 3/4 inch hole has been the standard for pretty much forever, especially in wood working, but I want to know just how far back it dates. So far I have found some internet sources point to the early 20th century, but I found some blogs that point to even older.

My next step is going to the local library to see what i can find. In the meantime I figured I would also post here and see if any of you have any insight into this topic! And if you can point me to a source too that would be even better. Maybe like an old text book or a magazine ad. Anything that can give me proof of origin. So feel free to respond to this topic if you think you’ve got a lead for me to follow.

Thanks!

-Noah
