Hi There,
I have downloaded the CAD Fireball fixtures and a Fixture table file into Fusion 360.
I can use the move/copy or joint commands to place the fixtures to hold a designed welding part on the horizontal and vertical axes, but not sure how to place the toothed blocks to accurately hold a welding part that is on an angle, such as the CAD prints Jason shows for his Sci Fi brackets.
Can anyone explain how this is done?
Much Appreciated
It’s not necessary to use the washer in the model. You can place the tooth block in your desired location then measure the distance from the end of slot to the first hole center. Then record this measurement. You’ll use the scale on the side of the tooth block to set the same distance when your placing fixtures. The scale on the side of the block is an indicator of how far the block is extended.
Here’s the block with the table hole and tooth block without any extension.
Now with 1in of block extension.
Got it!
Thanks for the explanation.
Easier than I thought.
Off the top of your head can you list what angles work out perfectly on the 2X2 OC hole table using the above method with the toothed blocks?
That way if feasible can incorporate those angles into the design.
Thanks
