That pair that’s been with you for years, and you just know that when they finally wears out you’ll miss them. You swear that nothing else is as comfortable and if they stop making 'em you’ll buy ten just to never wear anything else.
Wolverine shoes have always felt very comfortable from the first time I slip them on. Soft leather that has a very short break in period.
I switched from cheap boots to Nicks. I have a video on YouTube on the hand made process.
Currently love my square toe Ariat Workhogs, would love to go to a pair of Nicks but im not sure if i can justify the price tag when i know im going to burn them to peices.
(4 years old) I bought a pair of Georgia Eagle light work boots. I have used them heavily. I wear them for work, hiking, driving, sitting around. Ive melted the rubber from standing on the hot rocks around the campfire. Ive had to buy laces and wax to keep them up to snuff. But they wont DIE. A purchase where you think theyll only last a year, but completely out preformed. Thinking about buying their work boot with a steel toe. Keeping my current ones for hiking. Or it might be time to send them off🫡
Mine are Carolinas. I have weird feet (size 15 ½ Narrow width), and it’s super difficult to find footwear that fits right. The Boot Shack in St Cloud, MN was able to size my feet correctly and actually had boots in my size. I bought two pairs of the Carolina steel toes on the spot. Most comfortable work boots I own.
Red Wing Logger.
Thorogood boots. 6" lace up, waterproof, steel toe, shock proof (tested), made in USA. As any true work boot should be.
Plus, Thorogood has a recondition program. Send your old boots back to receive a full rebuild for $125. That’s money well spent in my line of work.
Best all around boots in my opinion super comfortable for spending hours on your feet. They aren’t super breathable so I don’t recommend them for folks with sweaty feet, but they are super easy to clean. The only caveat is you’ve got to break them in right, I put them on and put my feet in the oven at 450 degrees for a couple of hours and they fit great, they just don’t really come off anymore.
Just got my 2nd pair of red wings, cant go wrong. Theyre also manufactured about a mile from my house, so im also supporting the locals. Honestly though, best boots ive ever owned. Carolinas came close, but red wings have more custom options for my fucked up foot shape.
Red Wing Fireman’s until they stopped making them.
