he did that long ago in his destruction video. used a 30 ton hydraulic jack to finally pop it and only the long bolt broke or maybe the tube the bolt threads into i donât remember which.
I feel like I called it.
I also feel confident I wonât be hammering on my vise with a 100lb sledge, so I remain comfortable that it will outlive me, and possibly my son.

Hmmm It looks kind of like a Charpy Impact Test (Google that). In the primitive Charpy tester a sledge hammer-like pendulum swings against a test coupon. The measurements of the before and after heights of the pendulum reveal the energy expended in breaking the coupon⌠But the hammer has to go through, it cant bounce.
I wish there were measurements of the initial height of the hammer and the rebound height⌠It didnât look like much energy was absorbed by the vise.
