Combining multiple Marauder 24" x 20" plates?

Does anyone know if it would be possible to combine multiple of the 24” x 20” “marauder” fixture plates together to make a larger table the same way you can with the “pro diy series” plates?

The reason I want to do this is because it would save me about $300 in shipping costs because the marauder plates ship FedEx ground for around $40 vs even the smallest 2x3 pro diy plate costs $336 because it has to ship via freight. So I could combine two of the marauder plates and end up with an even larger 24” x 40” table for ~ $300 cheaper.

I’m sure it’s possible, but very dependent on what you mount the plates to.

If you want to maintain the grid spacing, you could use some fence blocks to align them when mounting to your frame or whatever.

I’m i looked at them closer and i realized they have the same mounting holes as the pro tables so my question is more Would mounting (4) in a square as opposed to side by side work?

In theory yes it should work the only thing that comes to my mind would be maintaining flatness across all four where they meet on the edges but I’m sure it is doable the right amount of planning and solid execution.

Yes I’m just not sure how to make the frame so it would work right. But I decided to pay the extra now and just get the 30x54 pro table instead which is the size I really needed from the start
