Over the weekend I finally got my 36x24 Dragon Wagons setup.
It took a little bit of work. I was very pleased at how well I got the 2 tables. I blocked in the front and the back. Clamped some tooth block extensions across the top. I used 5x 3/4 shoulder bolts to hold it togeatger. I was able to get both tables almost perfect. I can slide a 1-2-3 block all across the top and the sides and it doesn’t catch at all. I would say it’s better then half a thou.
The side kick vise took a bit of work. It was sitting very low from the table top. With the v-washer there is no adjust. I took out the 5/8 shoulder bolt and v-washer out and replaced it with the 3/4 shoulder bolt and used this sketchy setup to get it flush before tightening it down.
For now I placed my 28 and 20 extension blocks around the outside. Same story blocked them all in and got them flush.
I spent some time figuring out a tool box for under the table. I didn’t want to waste any space. My go to is usually pack-out’s. But they aren’t that roomy for the space they occupy. Looked at several tool boxes. In the end the Harbor Fraight Series 3 27" top. Fit just about perfect. Leaves no wasted space on the small dragon wagon.
Small modifications I needed to lose the washers on the foot tray, I removed the lock bars from the box since the top can’t open now, and the handles needed to come off. I also messed with the slag trays. I’ve got it so all but one off the small ones I can remove. It got trapped by the vise. The two in the middle you can remove from the bottom.
