I have my brand spankin’ new 30"x54" Dragon Wagon at its max height because initially I’m going to be using it standing. I’m trying to mount the cylinder holder and am running into 2 issues:
the long bolts for the base are too long because they’re intended to have the thickness of the ‘outer leg’ and this wouldn’t be a big deal, but they aren’t threaded far enough down… yes - I could fix this with some washers, but
the spacer for the cylinder clamp assumes that it will be mounted the same distance away from the legs as the base and that would require a different spacer if you are trying to mount the base on the inner leg and the clamp on the outer leg…
Any thoughts on how best to do this?
Otherwise very happy with the build quality and finish (and the fact that my neighbor has an engine hoist…)
And the shelves have the same problem. The double-tapped stud is sized for the outer leg and I was planning on mounting at least one of my shelves low (so on the inner leg) I decided to mount the shelves on the lowest part of the outer leg. That leaves me enough clearance (barely) for my welder to sit on the shelf
Are there spacers available that are the thickness of the outer leg offset?
5/16" thick by 1.5" deep with a 3/4" hole would work, I think - one for each side
McMaster-Carr doesn’t have anything that would exactly meet this - they have 1/4" and 3/8" - I guess one of each would technically work… but they don’t have them in a black oxide finish.
Thanks - yeah, I know it isn’t rocket science. I used a few 3/4" shaper cutters as spacers for today ;D and ordered some washers from the evil empire that will get here tomorrow and will make a more permanent solution.
