Maybe it is just me being dense (which is always possible) and I’m the only one. However in case I’m not, always make sure your swivel base is tight before using your bullseye clamps. I didn’t realize when I got mine that they weren’t fully tighten down and they also seem to loosen as you use them. This is what happens when you don’t check them and really clamp it down hard on something:
Basically the bolt, instead of the base block, takes the pressure and it is clearly not able to take that amount of force, understandably. When I snapped off the one and realized why, I checked all my other ones and found I had bent 3 others. I had to order replacements and getting that snapped off one out of the clamp was not fun. I think those bolts are hardened tool steel as well because it laughed at my screw extractor bit.
