Round Here Somewhere - a grinding disc housing option

Fireball have stepped up and done a service to the fabrication / meatalwork / welding world - sharing their hard work extracting information and making comparison on grinding discs. So I’m inspired to do similar and share my development. Which is in the realm of housing disc shape consumables. Housing designed for storage function, but also for interaction (use of), which is equally important and often forgotten.

We’re used to people speaking up to tout something as ‘better than anything before’, or to push a concept as means of pushing commerce. This is not that. It’s just a “you probably haven’t held this as an option. use it / don’t use it.”
…The storage approach may be more beneficial for some styles of workshop than others. But there might be versions / adaptations of the general concept more useful to more shops. On that theme, i hold no restriction (patent) on use of any novelty shown in this explanation vid. And i would love to see development of the concept shown. Could be versions for industrial scale; home gamers; disc users; disc distributors.
…The fundament of the approach described is the storage and readyment of disc consumables in a way that can be compact but is as free of the downfalls of compacted storage as possible. So where you might have layers hiding other layers, hanging discs makes each set directly visible and retrievable. Where you might have tonnes of horizontal surface needed if you spread disc types out, hanging them potentially uses no surface at all. etc..
…Every approach has it’s limits though, and if you don’t need compact storage or enclosed / covered storage, there are racks / stands / etc that allow even faster access; better visibilitiy; etc..
–This approach can be built in-house (“DIY”). A hanger system can be really simple to make.
–This approach can be built to work with existing industrial furniture (racking / shelving), or that built from scratch also.
–Because the physical items (hangers) are small (versus other options such as boxes or open wire racking), stocking up on extra hangers initially can create capacity for expansion of the storage set immediately. And likewise, disc storage this way need only take up the volume / space that it needs at any one time.
–This approach can work in conjunction with storage of other items, or even storage of discs in other ways, since it can suspend in the upper part of a tall shelf space (above other things). Or deeper storage behind the movable discs set. Four egg sample - boxes below, and used discs hanging above, presented and ready to be used again.
–Provides a framework for a system of use (not just everybody in teh shop approaching disc storage their own way.

Very interesting & a clever approach. Thank you for taking the time to both write and expain in the video, should prompt a bunch of tinkering and experimentation. Your tone (a generosity of spirit) fits nicely with this forum!
