Issue with Tooth Block and Stepped Fence Block Fixture Alignment

I recently purchased a Dragon Wagon 54" x 30" table with Tool Kit 2 and am loving it. This week, I was setting up a fixture using a Tooth Block combined with a Stepped Fence Block to create a reference point over my workpiece for indexing on some pins, but things weren’t lining up.

After some troubleshooting, I checked the fence blocks and noticed that one of them was out of square to the Tooth Block it was screwed to (see photo). I removed and reattached it, making sure there were no metal shavings causing interference.

Is there anything else I should check to correct this? I don’t want to assume something wasn’t machined correctly, since everything else with this table and the fixtures has been perfect. But maybe I just ended up with a bad fence block?

And just to share, here is the project I purchased the table for and have been working on https://makeratplay.com/projects/63/index.html

There is some clearance in the pin to slot and pin to table hole. Do you have any tacking bolts to replace the drop in pins? The tacking bolts pull tight and allow for fine positioning and the ability to hold the location.

Appreciate the quick reply. After doing some additional troubleshooting based on your feedback, I discovered the problem was user error on my part. I had assumed the issue was with the connection to the Stepped Fence Block, but it was actually with the connection between the Extension Block and the Tooth Block—it had a slight twist. Apparently, I was careless when assembling the parts and didn’t make sure they were square to each other. Loosening the screws and using the table as a reference when tightening them back down fixed it.
