Maximus Bar Clamps

I just received my Mini Maximus Clamps and I see they have a set screw to hold them in place on the bar stock I will use them with. My question is: Can I drill and tap my Maximus Bar Clamps in a similar fashion without compromising their structural integrity??

another question on these clamps, I assume they will be fine with 25*50mm rectangular hollow section?
