I recently purchased a couple of squares. an 8” monster square and 8” mutant square.
the monster square came in at 8” but the mutant square came as 7-15/16 x 7-15/16. Probably not such a huge deal but, prior to measuring the squares i made some parts using the square and measuring to the side opposite what my pieces were clamped on. So the pieces were 1/16 off of the nominal measurement.
I reached out to fireball and customer support says “Your square meets our quality standards and will perform exactly as intended”
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if its normal for the squares to be different in edge dimensions by this much.
